WATER DAYS - Summer 2012!! 

Fun Family Water Day  - 6th February, 1130am! Bring your swimming costume, a picnic, your family and your dogs for a fun day out at Lake Roto K. The boat will be there for any of you wishing to do some serious water rescue training, and I will bring along some water rescue testing sheets to test your Newfie!

Other scheduled water days - Sunday 11th March.

Water days are held att Lake Roto K, off Greywacke Road, Harewood, Christchurch. We'll see you there from 1130am!!

We are looking forward to holding our first match parade in years. Our venue will be Lake Roto K, so once we have our show you can cool off for an autumn swim! Further details to follow!

A milestone for us! Details coming very soon, but be advised we have secured a fantastic Specialist overseas judge, and our date is in the middle of June!! Watch this space!!

RECENT EVENTS!!

Carting at the Brooklands Gala Day! A big day out for us and a big thank you to the local community for a fantastic donation which will go towards our Championship show. We must have carted close to 100 children, thanks to our carting dogs and their families for a successful day. We also had the opportunity to try out the new harnasses which worked a treat!

CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW Sunday 2nd October                                                                            A fun filled show blessed with fantastic weather. Congratulations to Jocelyn Field for taking out top honour, Best in Show with Ch. Watermark The Beat Goes On. Well done Jocelyn!

BEACH WALK, COFFEE and CHAT - Sunday 31st July                                                       A total of 10 Newfies and accompanying groupies had a lovely mid winter walk on the beach on a beautiful sunny North Canterbury day. We finished off our surf and sand encounter with a coffee, snack and chat at the Ashworths cafe afterwards.                                                                     Check out some photos of this lovely get-together below:-

Club Grooming Night.                                                                                                                       A cosy wee group assembled with Anne Rogers to learn a few grooming tips at the Marshlands Road Dog Training Grounds. Thanks so much to Anne for giving us her time and it was nice to meet some new enthusiastic members. We trust you all learnt something to take home and try out.

Annual Fundraising Sausage Sizzle, Bunnings Warehouse, Sat July 23!              Thanks to all our helpers last Saturday, we managed to raise a nice wee amount which we will put towards our Champ show this year and other runnings costs for the club. It was a very cold day, however me did manage to shift around 500 sausages! The funniest part of the day was a gentleman who purchased a sausage in bread, put it on the roof of his car to place his Bunnings purchases in the boot, only to have a seagull swoop down take off with it! Hats off to this man, he returned to buy another!
