The Southern Newfoundland Society was set up on 28th July 1985. It is a non-profit making society for Newfoundland owners and for people interested in owning and caring for Newfoundland dogs.
The original purpose of the society was to increase awareness of the breed and to encourage owners to meet other likeminded Newfoundland owners and their dogs.
The Society holds it's AGM annually in springtime, providing members with a venue to get together and talk about their wonderful dogs.
